No our forefathers made this country follow the laws of democracy in order to have the majority of the people of the United States be the ruling voice. They did not create this great nation, in order to have one President rule the country, with lies.
It's not just you, I've been asking this same question for years. How can Bush capture and have Sadaam killed for being quilty of killing innocent people for his own gain, and being a dictator. When a president doesn't listen to his own people, and over rules thier decisions, when 70% of the Country is telling him he can't do something, and he continues to do it anyway, this would be considered Dictatorship. When he condemns Sadaam's way of killing innocent people and then goes into the same country and kills innocent people with his own military, that is the same as what Sadaam did, only they were his own people, oh, yeah, Bush is killing his own people too, but not at the rate of death and dismemberment of the Iraqis. I think he got rid of Sadaam because he didn't want anyone to put the 2 of them together and come up with the fact that they are the same type of people. Maybe he figured that the out of sight out of mind theory, might work, in trying to hide his true actions. Lie about what your really doing, deny, deny, deny, and continue to do exactly as you please.

You're exactly right. The founder would be spinning in their graves if they saw the Frankenstein's monster the U.S. government has become.
The founders specifically did not want the government run by political parties. They believed that the government that governs least governs best.
Amendment X to the constitution reads as follows:
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people."
This principle has long been abandoned. For example, the founders certainly did not want the federal government to control things like health care and education. This specifically violates Amendment X.
When the country was founded it was a collection of several states united for security and trade. Today the states are more like departments of the federal government.
Most of all they did not intend for government influence to be for sale to the highest bidder.

Not at all, no. The 'founding fathers' couldn't possibly have envisioned such a large, globally involved nation, nor the level of beaurocracy needed to run it.
Also, the answer depends a bit on which founding you mean. The revolutionaries who penned the Articles of Confederation would be apalled; the federalists who came up with the Constitution, OTOH, might be surprised, and bothered by some of the specifics, but ultimately pleased that the federal system had survived so long.

No, I don't believe this country is what our founders had invisioned. Our government is becoming more and more of a dictatorship, ran by a dictator. It is hard for the people to have a voice in this world. We struggle everyday to make our voices heard. Our Constitutional rights are being taken away more and more. The founding fathers would roll over in their graves today if they were able to see what has become of this nation. We must join together and let our voices be heard again. If you agree, then go to these websites.

No,the founders of the United States did not expect our country to be taken over by special interest, our borders not to be sealed in the time of war,our industrial base to be shipped overseas, the federal government to be so intrusive in the average Americans lives. The cold hard truth is that if the founding fathers were living the army of GEORGE WASHINGTON HIMSELF would hang about 97% of the congress and senate for treason against the United States people. Not the government. The people. Don't get me wrong, I love my country.I don't love my government. I'M A REAL PATRIOT. We are doomed to repeat history.

No, it's far more powerful and bigger than they envisioned. They envisioned most authority in the hands of the people through their state & local government whereas today, the reverse is true.

I'm sure our founders did not picture "king george" running this country into the ground and totally disregarding the will of the majority. I'd bet they're turning over in their graves.
