Are you as sick of hearing the Rutgers basketball team and Al "the Black Bigot" Sharpton cry about getting their feelings hurt as I am. So Imus said something stupid and insenstive; like Al Sharpton never has. Imus was wrong to exercise his first amendment right. I guess no one ever told Imus that in this day and age that the first amendment only applies to white people when Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson and the NAACP ok it in advance. I agree Imus used poor judgement in saying what he did but if you don't like what someone says then don't listen to them. However, you better be careful about putting a lid on peoples first amendment rights because someday someone may put a lid on yours. I could not believe the other day that a reporter ask the Whitehouse about this situation. Lets see, we have a war going on, problems with Iran and N. Korea, the housing market is falling apart causing further economic problems, immigration so lets ask the President how to handle some hurt feelings.

I agree. I am sick of all this and think it has been way overblown. Why do Sharpton and Jackson still have their radio shows after all the damage they have caused to people by using their political clout to get their way. Need we be reminded they were immediately there when a young black woman accused three overprivileged Duke LaCrosse players of raping her about a year ago. At least Don Imus apologized. I doubt those three young men will get such a gesture from either of those bigots.

Oh well .... everyone seems to be focusing on this--- taking away from real news, I am sure Bush is pleased as punch because he has people up in his face asking about Don Imus instead of the Iraqi parliament being bombed, in the green zone.....or the Ohio troops he plans on sending into combat who are unprepared. Good work my fellow americans keep focus on the important stuff

You people disgust me with your first amendment rights bullshit. What do you think would happen if every idiot blurted out the filth was on their mind. Black women have enough to deal with without having some foulmouthed white jerk disrespecting them because of the texture of their hair. It goes deeper than a group getting their feelings hurt. This world will forever be in a mess when there are people like that around. Go Sharpton and Jackson!!!! Speak out for us.

Since when are we/ and why being called a hillbilly? that's a new one...is Al Sharp ton starting that rumour?
That don't hurt me none...I'm still white....take that monkey's. I could care less what life's garbage creatures call me.
Remember the planet of the apes movies? Sure we were portrayed and represented in those movies, we made them stupid films... who portrayed the other characters?
Let anyone insult me as much as they want, I have Teflon skin when it comes to being insulted...too bad other races cant do the same ;-)
Trust me as God is my witness...The white people that brought you over to America to work as slaves were so wrong to do that! They made a terrible mistake and the following generations right up to the present day have regretted that move ever since, believe me on that one one!
You people have been nothing but trouble ever since that period in American history. If we could go back in time and kick your asses back to Africa and leave you in your huts and tree tops would be such a blessing, your being here is a nightmare! They weren't even good workers...had to watch them every second or they rob you blind...they still are robbing us blind!!!

I compare Imus to Don Rickles (sp?).. I don't care for their brand of humor.. so I don't care what they say.. or when they say it.

You are right, he had the right to exercise his freedom of speech. Nobody took that away from him. He was not arrested or banished from the country. He exercised his constitutional right.

The network also exercised thier right to freedom of expression, as they expressly cancelled his racist butt.
