of course Cheney knew he was lying. But in Washington the truth is relative. It all depends on how loudly and vociforously the lie is told. As long as the lies are said often and with the moral certainty that only the evil can perfect, some dummy somewhere will believe. Everyone knows, just keep repeating these lies over and over using mocking, belittling rhetoric (and of course adding the suffix Nazi to the back of a noun, i.e. feminazis, environazis, etc.) and some ignorant ditto head is going to fall hook line and sinker. By the time the truth comes out itits' too little too late, and the lie is thoroughly embedded in the minds of people who seemingly have never read the Constitution of America. Then when the truth comes out, the conservatives simply demonize any and all opposition, by digging up whatever dirt they can find to discredit the opposition. Remember the Swift Boat Liars for Bush? When they were discredited it was buried on page 27. And despite any and all evidence to the contrary the conservatives closed their little minds and refused to listen to the facts. It must be so easy to win an argument, when all you have to do is call everyone who disagrees with you a biased liberal liar. I think these conservatives should go back to school and take some classes in logical thinking and learn to parse the wheat from the chaffe. Their rapid blind loyalty to Rove and company reminds me of the Nazi's. After all they were only following orders too.

Since Fox is the only news station Cheney listens to,
he has no idea of what the rest of the planet really knows.

Perfect example - Jon Stewart has shown split screens
of Cheney staying one thing on the left, & the total opposite
on the right. Cheney seems to have no idea of video tape.
Considering his position, the whole thing seems quite
amazing to me.

There ARE STILL some gullible people around who will believe ANYTHING despite the fact that even Dictator Dumbya himself (in quite selective venues) admitted his BIG LIE. I've HEARD the tapes. The point is to keep Dumbya out of the low 20%'s (or even lower).

By the way, are you some kind of democrat shill? You have asked nearly a thousand questions and seem to have around fifty open at a time.

If I was the suspicious type I would suspect you are actually an activist propaganda group not a single person.

Maybe you ask Bill Clinton:

ARE AL QAEDA'S links to Saddam Hussein's Iraq just a fantasy of the Bush administration? Hardly. The Clinton administration also warned the American public about those ties and defended its response to al Qaeda terror by citing an Iraqi connection. http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/003/527uwabl.asp

Stephen F. Hayes, author of the new book "The Connection: How al-Qaeda's Collaboration with Saddam Hussein has Endangered America," says Clinton administration officials in the late 1990s and beyond were making regular references to Saddam, his WMD programs and association with al-Qaida. http://www.geocities.com/truthsavvyonline/clintons.html

The commission concluded, you'll recall, that the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon couldn't have been prevented, and that if there was negligence, it was as much the fault of the Bush Administration (for moving slowly on the recommendations of Clinton counterterrorism chief Richard Clarke) as of the Clinton administration.

Able Danger has changed all of that.

Able Danger was a military intelligence unit set up by Special Operations Command in 1999. A year before the 9/11 attacks, Able Danger identified hijack leader Mohammed Atta and the other members of his cell. But Clinton administration officials stopped them - three times - from sharing this information with the FBI. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article9755.htm

The Clinton administration talked about firm evidence linking Saddam Hussein's regime to Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network years before President Bush made the same statements. http://www.washtimes.com/national/20040624-112921-3401r.htm

WOW! You libs sure hate to be shown to be hypocrites! I'd thought you would be used to it by now.

Because Rush's listeners are the only people left in America who are still dumb enough to believe it.

Did he do that crap again? No wonder there are still people who
believe it. Cheney is a globalist and, just like Rush, his only goal is to keep Americans confused and divided while he does his dirty deed.
