i'd like to ask a simple question: why do so many of you send qstions that don't show any mathematical curiosity such as dull computational exercises?it is unbelievable to see questions like make the division.... or find gcd. There are thousands maybe millions of topics on the network that give you a really and i mean REEEAALY good prospective of all the theory (?) you should know tfind the answer. I don't want to offend anyone but pose a question to the administrators : is this a forum for others' homework? cause i don't think that this is math;that's just dull computations , and i am sure that math is more than dull computations; it's about thinking. So couldn't you make a new link to computational or homework stuff. ?
Thanks for reading this one.

I'm with you on this one.

I think the homework questions should be posted in the "homework help" category (which is there for a reason!), leaving the mathematics category for more difficult and more interesting questions.

I have to admit, however, that I enjoy solving the easy homework questions - as a sort of entertainment as well as an excuse for not doing what I should have been doing! :-)

May I also say that lots of kids became really spoiled - instead of asking "please help me solve this" they just say "show ur work" (!). I would also like them to actually choose the best answer and leave a comment and thus show at least some gratitude to the people who dedicated their time to others' homework problems.

In the main I would agree with you. But.... there are people out there who do need answers to what you may think are mundane questions. If the question involves numbers, their interaction and result - then it's math.
