It's a pity that the people who deny that this happened are so profoundly ignorant as to claim it didn't happen simply because they are speaking literally, and you mean figuratively.

Liberals simply do not understand that the media isn't telling what our soldiers are really doing, and by believing that, they naturally believe that the military isn't doing anything. By believing that the body count is all there is to Iraq, liberals ARE spitting on our armed forces.

There have been some pretty heroic things happen in Iraq. Liberals think the whole thing is pointless, but fail to understand that doesn't make them less heroic. Failure to understand that IS spitting on our armed forces.

By letting their political leaders treat them like pawns in a political game they are playing with George Bush, they ARE spitting on our armed forces.

So, anyway, to answer your question, what punishment would be suitable for people that do this.... They should live in a country where such men and women as these are not protecting their liberty. They certainly don't deserve the sacrifices that are being made on their ungrateful behalf.

properly I do hear a set of anti-conflict psychos asserting “toddler killers.” yet whilst they are conversing approximately “spitting” on Vets they are alluding to the disgusting morons who spit on returning ‘Nam vets many years in the past. sure this did take place. Vets have been given spit on and have been called toddler killers by the sanctimonious hippies or college little ones who prevented the draft. human beings nonetheless use the terminology to characterize huge disrespect to the protection tension or Vets. I don't doubt that there is a very small minority of liberals who blame the troops for the war in Iraq. However, they are an insignificant group. The vast majority of Liberals and Democrats support the troops as much as is possible. Democrats feel that the war in Iraq is causing more harm than good and in the meantime more and more troops are dying. How is wanting our troops to come home so they won't be killed in a war that will only continue to destabilize the Middle East not support? If you believe the war in Iraq should end and that the only way to achieve our goals for the Country is diplomatically, than keeping our mouths shut and allowing President Bush to just continue to send more troops to be killed is the greatest form of not supporting our troops. We want our troops to stop being killed in a pointless campaign, if that isn't support than I don't know what is.
