I'm only 18 and to me it is so normal...I date white guys and since ive been dating thats all ive dated...except one purto rica...anyways it seems to me like lots of people do it now in my family all the kids ( my brothers and sister and cousins i mean) are mixed black and white and few other things that trickled threw the family tree.im only a quarter white ..But out side to total strangers it seems like something new...mostly to older people and yes i can understand why but still even to younger people they seem like its a terriably things...And since i date outside my race even other black people will say oh well you must be ashamied of being black which is so far from true . So not only do i get weird looks from whites but blacks as well...why does it upset people to see people of two races happy toghether?...i know there are other races dating but black and white is a big one and when i say black and white i kinda suming up the whole issue with every race ...

Do not pay them no mind. I am dating out side my race, and no seemed to mind, except one, and she said the same thing. I told her my black skin is attractive enough to both races, and when we bleed we all bleed red, and told her that we are all human beings and I loved the white guy i was with, and who was she to tell me I did not like being black.

I believe interracial relationships r beautiful. It's nice to know that there r some people out there smart enough to look past the color of their skin.

Take me, for example. I used to have the BIGGEST crush on this Puerto Rican guy. But he has a gf whom he loves very much, and I wasn't gonna wait around for him forever.

Anywayz, I ended up wit a Black boyfriend whom I now love very much! (lol) But that doesn't mean that I can't look past color or that I'm ashamed to go outside of my race, becuz I have no problem doing it!

My point is, keep doing it ur way. Just becuz u date outside ur race doesn't mean ur ashamed, and don't let people tell u otherwise!

You are dating the men you choose to date. This is your life. You are not attaching to much on color. I think that is good. We should see each other as people and that is it. If you were to put small children of every race into a room together they will just play! We adults should learn from little children.

If you have no problem w/ it then should know one else. The race of your partner should have nothing to do w/ how you feel about yourself. Really, the only people that do have problems w/ are people w/ no lives of their own so pry into your own.

I would think, love should be color blind. As you become older, I don't think you will care so much about what other people think.

I think also, that a lot of people project their own prejudices onto others. Everyone has their own insecurities. As long as it doesn't bother you, who cares?

I think the colour is not important... you should only care about the heart.
