Absolutely. It's perfectly OK for black people to disrespect themselves and MEAN IT, but when someone makes a joke about it and that person is not black, he wants to end that person's life.

Yes he is, based on the evidence.
In order to be a true activist I believe one must fight the war within the black community instead of be an opportunist, when someone of another race makes a demeaning or insulting remark. Granted what Imus said was insulting/racist self hatred in the black community is at an all time high. And yes black artist of both sexes are at fault, as well as the blacks that buy into what they are sold. Also there is a way about dealing with problems with class and dignity. Imus isn't making a living off negative black culture, but double standard people are. The only people who buy into things are those who claimed to be a victim of society, (or race) when they are the ones who control how they are treated in society. So instead of boycotting and putting pressure on everyone else: Put pressure on the rappers, the singers, the actors, the writers, the producers of black culture who praise racism, and stereotypes.
I was taught never call yourself something you wouldn't be proud of someone else addressing you as. So how or why are those who call themselves painful, racist, degrading names so quick to cry victim when someone else calls them the same. That is why so many racists feel they are justified because others act and enjoy reveling in the double standard.

Good point.
Al Sharpton's reason for existence is to be the hound of hell on the white man's butt. He doesn't seem to notice what's going on in his own community.
It doesn't make as a good a story, I guess.

Al isn't worth discussing...he has no actual points, no goals, just getting in front of a camera. He does more to hurt the African American community than help.
