I remember back in 1989 when he loudly defended a girl named Latasha Harlens who claimed that she was raped by a gang of white guys. She later admitted that she lied and the Rev. never, ever apologized for his ugly accusations.
DON'T GET ME WRONG. I'M NOT DEFENDING DON IMUS. HE SHOULD NEVER HAVE OPENED HIS BIG MOUTH. IF HE GOT FIRED, THAT WAS OF HIS OWN DOING.
It's just that the Good Reverend seems to relish with glee getting Imus fired.
For the record, I'm not a white guy. I'm a Latino, Mexican-American.

OYE LOUIS L:
Just because you claim to be "a fellow Hispanic" you can call me a "muddy skinned" "taco bender"? Who or what the damn hell gives you that right??? I bet you don't even speak one drop of Spanish; you can't even read what I just told you above. For the record, yeah, I did report you to Yahoo Answers. If you want to defend Reverend Al, be my guest. It's a free country. I can respect that. What I don't respect is you dissing me personally. You don't even know me.

Al Sharpton will grab every chance he has to be in the public limelight, including crying wolf with the Duke rape scenario. If anybody is racist its Al Sharpton who take advantage of exploiting the situations to his advantage and not the victims. He believes that he is the modern day hero and savior. My wife is African-American and does not care for Al Sharpton, and says he is not working to help blacks, and is only exploiting them to his benefit,,,go think!
Mr. Imus did wrong and now is paying for it.
BTW - following the Rodney King crisis, looting, and attacks on whites. Latinos, and other non African-Americans you never heard him say anything against racism in that matter. Except for saying Rodney King will have his justice.......dam hypocrite....get lost!

Ignorance is not a Constitutional Right. He exercised his right to free speech but ignored that people have a right to fire him over it. Imus is history. His ignorant mouth got him fired. Not what he said was important as how stupid it was to think he would get by with it. That is dumb. Try saying what he said at work and see what happens. Any dumb _ss would know what happens. Al Sharpton isn't the idiot that just got fired from a multi-million dollar job with generous sponsors. If he thought he could say what he said and not get fired then he deserves what he gets. Imus is stupid. I could care less what he said but he should have been using at least half his brain. I relish Imus getting fired with glee because he thinks he is above it. Arrogance and ignorance get you every time. I am a Mexican-American and nothing anyone says can penetrate my beautiful brown skin. We aren't so weak we can't take it.

The only thing that Sharpton is concerned about here is that Don Imus is getting all the good press time. That's why this bigoted hypocrite has yest again injected himself when he doesn't belong.

I've never heard Sharpton apologize for anything.
Look what he said about the Duke college students...he is yet to apologize. Or the Brawley girl, or anything else.
America has rejected Sharpton because he is a hypocrite.

Why the media gives him or Jesse and credit is a crime in its self. They love the spotlight, and like all liberals, nobody can ever say they are wrong.
