Why does everyone talk about Don Imus- sure he deserves all that's coming to him. But what about the producer, Mr. McGuirk? He called the girls "some hardcore hos..." before Imus. I say put his head on the chopping block, too.
Personally (and being a black man) I agree that every time something is 'percieved' as racist gets blown out of proportion by the 'victimized' group. The African American community needs to reevaluate its stance on what it goes to the political forum about, and what it ignores.
But that's the catch, isn't it? Real racial issues- black, white, latino... the media doesn't eat the important stuff up, do they? When was the last time you heard about the impoverished black and white communities in the Mississippi delta? They live like they're in the third world. No, instead the media jumps on a 'safe' subject like an off-color joke. And our misguided leadership eats it up...

Memo to Jesse J, Rev Al & others of their ilk:
Take a good look in the mirror. You have rappers like Kayne West that use race against OUR President & use those type of words within your own community. Why don't y'all pile on them?
WAR Don Imus for President in 2008!!!!

This mess is all about a coup by CNN in two markets, and the collection of $2 Billion in advertising!
It is also about the Socialist Democrat attempt to silence all criticism, on the day AFTER Imus stated he would NEVER let Hilary on his programs!
This is Hilary's REVENGE!
Shock Jock Don Imus uses bigotry for attention, just like HipHop and Rap and that bastard niger-ian kid who drives down the street playing his car boomers at 125 decibels!
Hey, my firends the Cops ticket him often. but, his drug money is large, and he doesn't care about the fines.
Besides, anytime Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson appear in the media, they get million$! Hey, jesse has a Love child, embezzeled money, and called Jews names, publicly!
Shock ministries? Al is my least favorite nappy headed ho!

Because if we, the white people complain about the way the blacks talk, they label us as racists. I think they will sing a different tune if someone decides to sue a black radio station, and get their DJ's fired. Of course Sharpton and Jackson will be right there crying foul. Those two need to get a real job, and stop making money off of nit picking every nappy headed thing that is said.

When Al and Jessie say that something is wrong, the media will respond accordingly. The media loves Al and Jessie controlling these issues. It sells.
The liberal left cater to these two witch hunters. Al and Jessie smell blood in the water. Easiest target is CBS and MSNBC. They should demand high paying jobs as morality judges. They should also demand at least an hour on prime time.
Imus was a jackass to go on his show. He thought he might get forgiveness from someone who despises the color of his skin!

I think it is time people get over this crap. He didn't say the N word......Snoop Dog summed it up nicely....
Get rid of the double standard and you will get TRUE EQUALITY.
These Bafoons Jesse and Al need to go get jobs and stop running around the country side acting like they just got force-fed habaneros every time someone mentions their race in a non racist conotation.
They went knocking on President Fox's door when he said Mexicans work the jobs Blacks won't even do.
They went trying to seek an apology, Fox stuck to his guns...I'm glad he did.

Because Jesse and Al are big attention whores? The media loves poo-slingers.
Seriously, one of the old-heads in my office (who is also a sociology professor at American University) gave me a lecture about "all the great stuff" that Jesse and Big Al did back in the day. But my question is, what have you done for me lately? Hel-LO?!? And I'm not convinced that either of them really did anything all that significant "back in the day".

Because Don Imus is an easy target.
We all forget about Jesse and his anti Semite remarks and Al's baseless accusations.

To keep black people the oppressed ones. Without oppression, real or (mostly) imagined or brought on by one's own actions, jackson and sharpton would be out of a job. Keeping the pot stirred keeps the money flowing into them....
I'm gonna go to all caps now because this should be shouted:
WHEN YOU MAKE EVERYTHING ABOUT RACE, THEN THE LEGITIMATE RACIAL PROBLEMS GET IGNORED!!

What he said was not right no, but he NEVER said nappy headed black girls or nappy headed negroes. He said nappy headed hos (ANY race of women can be hos). My BEST friend is Hispanic and her hair is nappy as all hell! She gets a relaxer just like any of “us” do but she’s not black or African American or whatever the PC term for it is. Did we as “black” people fire off on Isaiah Washington when he called his homosexual co-worker a ****** in front of everyone? NO WE DIDN’T!!! They did some stories on it but there was NO huge issue all over the place about it. But when Kramer went on his ****** tangent we were all over it. We LAUGH and BUY ALL Dave Chappelle’s DVDs when he makes ALL kinds of racial skits about blacks and whites. Why is it funny when he does it or another black comedian does it? Why is it accepted when rappers or singers use it? Yes he singled out those specific females but rappers use it about ALL of us women and we bob our heads and snap our fingers to it. If he can’t say it NO ONE should say it. PERIOD!! We as black people have said WORSE off about our OWN people AND about OTHER races and its accepted!!! Bullshit! It’s a double standard!!! We don’t OWN the right to put each other down? I am SO tired of black people saying that!!! Its ok for us to put our own people down?!?! HELL NO its not but we do it anyone and no one gets offended but when a white person does, OH HELL NO!! Fire his ***! If we want to fire him then we need to pull rap music off the shelves and off the air. LL Cool J and Will Smith have both made 100s of songs and don’t degrade women and BARELY curse and have sold MILLIONS!! Other rappers and singers can do the same but since we accept it as people they continue to make the music.
What he said was inappropriate yes but I didn’t take it as racial. My mom is black and I can barely find a “nap” in her hair!!! She has very fine hair. That team wasn’t FULL of black girls. He said how he felt in the wrong setting. That’s his fault! He needs to pay whatever the consequences are for violating whatever the standards of talk radio are but to FORCE him to quit his job is crazy! If that’s the case go to every record label and tell them to drop their artists that have done this. Like they said on the radio today, if he had put a beat to it, no one would have said anything to him and it’s the truth.
