The natural answer is freeze...But burning is actually less painful, because you burn off your nerve cells in the first few minutes.

both are bad....
freezing is actually painful. hypothermia is not fun, I had a touch of it once. UGH! FELT SICK AS HECK!!!! and, science shows that when a person freezes, ice crystals form in a persons cells. See, people used to freeze frogs to put them down. it was thought to be humane, but it was shown that when the ice crystals form, they feel pain. Those crytals stab a person all over in each cell. FORGET THAT!

Burning. forget that too! oh, the horror!

Comfort for the burned and wounded by john w. keim

It explains that burn patients, no matter how severa DO NOT have to suffer like they do with modern treatment in hospitals. And they dont have to be scarred for life either! It is written by an Amish man from Ashland ohio. It is an AMAZING book, and isnt that expensive. Basically, this man found a treatment that takes all pain away almost instantly and the person is not left scarred. And we are talking life threatening burns!

To tell you the truth, I would pick neither though.

Well, I thought I would rather freeze before I read this bc I heard that your nerves shut down. I also heard that burning is one of the most painful ways to die. I guess I changed my mind.

Nope, I still pick freeze.

I spent 18 days watching a friend...with 3rd degree burns over 90% of his body....die a slow, horrible, painful death.

Personally, neither! I intend to live a long long time.......& when my time comes go to sleep & not wake up! But if I had to choose I would be thinking of the people left behind! From experience, my sister died in a fire & identifying her remains was very difficult, (nasty & foul smelling) I would think freezing would be easier for a loved one to look at when having to identify the body.

i agree freezing comes to mind first. but i think id rather burn cuz burning would be quicker and you wouldn't have to suffer near as long

I would rather freeze...you get to a point where all you have to do is go to sleep. Burning on the other hand....

At least if you freeze, they can identify you later. And maybe far, far into the future they can bring you back to life!
