For moderately priced steaks, Salt Grass Steakhouse on 281 and I-10 have great certified Angus beef and great service. Also, Texas Land and Cattle is really good and reasonably priced. They have great garlic broccoli and sweet potato.

For cheap, the Little Red Barn near the corner of Highway 90 and 281 (you can't miss it from the freeway), is truly a San Antonio experience. The waitresses wear guns and tassles. FYI - the menu is on the wall.

For upscale, Bohanan's Seafood and Steakhouse on Houston Street in downtown is fabulous.

The best are Morton's of Chicago (River Center Mall Area) and Ruth's Chris (Fredericksburg). Both are excellent with great service. They are, of course, VERY expensive.

As for the chains, I think Texas Roadhouse is the finest steak. Reasonably priced and the peanuts are free.

you're kidding, precise? real Mexican foodstuff in San Antonio? %. up a pebble. Throw it in any route. you're absolute to hit a Mexican eating position (a lot extra "Mexican" than "Tex-Mex"). someone suggested Mi Tierra. sturdy call. My spouse and that i'd be going there next month when we visit San Antonio on our anniversary holiday (we are in Houston, yet I lived in S.A. contained in the 80s). i will also be at la Margarita (i recognize this position) and Casa Rio. For steak, the Little Rhein Steakhouse remains there, and nevertheless tremendous. Their reservation coverage is slightly paleozoic, notwithstanding.

Not sure if there is one in San Antonio, but when we were in Austin we went to a place called Salt Lick, Wow was the food just out of this world.

I personally would never send anyone to the Little Red Barn. The food sucks, steaks are thin and the waitresses make you want to hurl. The majority look like they were around when the place opened like 40 years ago. They wear tight short skirts and boots and are fugly. Save your money and go elsewhere.

San Francisco Steak House, I think it is on Babcock Rd. Also Ruth's Chris, probably the best.

Good call on Ruth's Chris.

Otherwise I was going to have to direct the asker to come to Houston. We have steakhouses galore!
