This is quite strange, I have known a girl who was sexually abused by her father & it was very sad to see her as she was scared, but she still lived in the family home even though she was old enough to move out..
I firstly find it so dificult to believe that a father could do such a thing & secondly why she would leave any member of her family with him.
There must be a strange & unusual form of love/bonding there which we, hopefully normal people do not understand.
This question should be placed in the physco analysis section for experts to answer.
I would be interested to know & learn more.

I had that happen to me at 10 and now that I have a child who is almost 8, needless to say my family has never seen or even know of my daughter. I will NEVER take her anywhere near them. If she is letting her child go with the grandfather she needs to have her head examined.

call children and family services right now! this child is in danger and his mother is obviously a f****n lunatic for allowing the child to even be in his presence let alone house all day with a rapist! If he does she could be charged with child endangerment as well for knowingly leaving him in his care, i dont care if grandma is there or not this kid needs somebody to look out for his best interest NOW! do the right thing and call, youll sleep better.

You are her friend and should tell her exactly how messed up that is - offer her whatever help you can to help her find a safer solution but tell her you cannot just sit by and let her allow her child to have anything to do with that man. Ugh why is he not in jail?? People like that don't deserve to breath.

No way! Get in the car and go pick him up yourself if you have to! Call child services for advice, too! Don't let that perv anywhere near any kids. He has a serious psychological disorder.

Talk with your friend and tell her how you feel about it and remind her what he did to her. but if that was me my dad would have no part in my childs life what so ever.
