Is that what set Al and Jesse off? I can't imagine them being for women's respect since they both have had "love children".

I don't know, but it's something the libs and cons seem to agree on. Some remark that I never heard before that aparently has something to do with hair is unforgivably racist, but implying that some young women are engaged in a largely-illegal and much disparaged proffesion is ignored.
Perhaps it's because the latter slur is so commonly used in certain communities, that some of it's meaning has been lost?

I don't know, could it be because that's what effetively led to his firing?
Honestly, I've never listened to Imus. He struck me as a Howard Stern type. I can't stand Stern, so I saw no reason to lend Imus my ear.
It's one less jackass on the air in my book. And I'm fairly sure he'll resurface at some point, sooner rather than later.

The shape, greater specifically the 1st exchange factors all people in the country the superb to unfastened speech/self expression and in the "technical experience", Imus had the superb to particular what he felt, for the sake (or lack thereof) of comedy or no longer. in spite of the undeniable fact that, as a member of the media, Imus has a much better responsibilty by fact that his words are heard by thousands and thousands of human beings each and every morning (the two on his radio tutor or on MSNBC). however if speech like this could be a factor of his "schtick", it is going to have been curbed finally. To that, that's the place he ought to have exercised some straightforward experience in no longer "going there" with those words. you could say what you're saying yet straightforward experience ought to set in by noting that in case you're saying something that may offend a subculture, for you to pay for it finally. as much as i do no longer consider what he stated, i do no longer think of he ought to be fired by fact of it, He ought to be surpassed down some form of punishment (including suspension, financial donation to Rutgers)

I don't put any stock in what comes out of the mouth of Imus, he can't even comb his hair for chrissakes. He's a drooling old goat who likes the feel of his foot in his mouth. He needs to work at his camp and devote attention to those kids he loves so much.

Uh... I believe it is the news media that is focusing on his racial remarks. The news media blew this story out of proportion, not conservatives. Yes, I said "out of proportion". Until black leaders start condemning the terrible rap and hip-hop language disguised as music, calling women b!tches and hos, I'm not getting too excited about Imus' remarks.

Neo-cons aren't the only ones, he's just been fired! He airs I thought they said on 40 some stations. It isn't neo-cons it was Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton who made the biggest stink!

I don't think it's just the Conservatives the Libs seem to be concentrating on that too.
Possibly because Your-Pal-Al threw the Race card at him and it was better than a Royal Flush in getting him fired.

Because women aren't stupid enough to make a big deal out of this.
We are not making a big deal about Don's remarks.
We are making a big deal about Al Sharpton's REACTION to his remarks.
He should have demanded an apology, gotten it, and dropped the whole situation. Either that, or just ignore it. Not many people were listening when he said it. MUCH more people learned of it from the constant repetition by the media.
I hope that helps.

Rush must have spent the entire show today talking about Imus and the Duke Lacrosse team. He probably didn't mention the Congressional subpoenas though.
