You should only care if you plan on giving those who are running for President an honest look and will listen with an open mind. We should predetermine who we will vote for until we hear what they have to say. This is the case for all candidates. He appears to be a sharp guy who comes to the table with a great business background, a willingness to work with both sides of the political spectrum, who isn't a lifetime politician, etc. I'm not sure I'll vote for him (I've typically leaned a little to the Democratic side), but I'll listen.

Unless you're a registered republican, you probably shouldn't care - you'll have time to see where he stands in the unlikely event he gets the nomination.
