To me a large tank screams planted tank. But that depends on the fish you want to keep of course. Much of the decor is the same, just more of it and bigger pieces. I would suggest asking a local independent pet shop to order some large items of whatever you want like rock, driftwood etc.

Well if your wondering where maybe the place where you bought the tank or your local pet store. Has decor or look in a phone book yellow pages and look up fish and go to a specielty fish store becuase they are all about fish so they will have everything for your fishy's.

300 gallon tank. Well it really depends on what your gonna keep in there. If you are gonna keep fish that wont touch plants do as magic man said. Buy sand and put in lots of plants. If your gonna buy large aggressive fish then buy aquarium salt or gravel whichever will be easier for you to vaccum and put in fake plants, along with a few peices of drift wood and rocks to make the tank seem natural.

If you have the time, Do It Yourself! This may be the coolest one I've seen:

It includes step by step instructions and is absolutely breathtaking :) All it takes is styrofoam, cement, cement tint..and some full water changes to cure it until the PH levels go back to normal.
