Do you mean to install another drive like a CD burner or something like that?

If you install a new drive, it will automatically create a new drive letter.
Drive A:\ = 3½" floppy drive
Drive B:\ = 5¼" floppy
Drive C:\ = Local hard drive
Drive D:\ = CD ROM or DVD or whatever
Drive E:\ = can be just about anything ... USB drive, CD burner, Card reader

If you install a second hard drive, it will probably become drive D:\ and bump the other drive letters up.

Install it and it will come!

if A: = floppy drive
C: = OS hard drive
D: = CD/DVD
Then adding an second hard drive would give you the drive letter E:

Or you could partition C: then your CD/ DVD
would become E: and the second partition of your hard drive would become D:
