The person who has to be right all the time MAY view themself as a person who meticulously stores knowledge. Therefore they get upset if they input the information wrong and have to find out by someone else. The way you get around this is to have your source in the same sentence (possibly even written down in a good reliable source I.E. encyclopedia, dictionary, science book, or have your web browser open to a reliable web page Mayo Health, surgeon general, etc. ) so you can show them. They are open to new ideas and probably even take pride in what they know but try to be cautious and careful to be VERY accurate so in the future they will trust you as a reliable source.

I think those who have to be right all the time, always have an open mind to new ideas, but choose to use the new ideas in such a way so as to appear as though it was germinated from their mind.

I know there are plagarists out there, but they are very adept at what they do. LOL.

maybe, but that doesn't mean that they definitely all aren't. and that definitely doesn't mean that even when they are right that they'll agree. people can see things from different perspectives and come to different conclusions, all of which are logically sound. in any case, if someone THINKS they're always right, then they're probably pretty conceited, and won't listen to any ones opinion but their own.

No not at all ... what it really means is their full of pride and they don't value other opinions. And if this is your friend or someone close to you that is like this, maybe you need to look into finding someone who cares enough about you to listen.

usually. It's hard to be right if you are willing to accept new ideas that may differ from your views!

If we want people to be open to our opinions shouldn't we be open to theirs.
