What he said is offensive but he shouldn't be fired.
CBS and NBC knew what they had when they hired him. They make a ton of money on him while he trashes Jews, Christians, conservatives, and any other comment he wants. He crossed the line before but now the PC police got him.
The sad thing is that what he said is being attacked by people like Sharpton and Jackson who traffic in racists and ignorant statements all day long. Just recently they jumped all over the Duke rape case that obviously was a joke. The list goes on.
Also, there are so many examples of off the wall, racist, and vial comments made by those on the left side of the political world and they get away with it. You never hear it because it doesn't get reported like Imus did.
Imus is a hater. There are a lot of them out there. It is amazing to me who gets to get away with it and who doesn't.

So much for free speech. I'm all for it, but their is a line that was crossed and public figures in the media should know that they have a service to uphold and can't say whatever they like. So he brought it on himself.
