A cow produces 6000quarts a year.

First convert quarts to gallons. so, 6000/4 = 1500 gallons a year.

Next find out how many gallons the cow produces per month, 1500 gal / 12 months = 125 gallons a month.

Finally find out how many gallons in 5 months, 125 gallons a month x 5 months= 625 gallons.

5 months is 5/12 of a year.

5/12*6000 = 5*500 = 2500 quarts

1 gallon = 4 quarts
2500/4 = 625 gallons of milk in 5 months

625. Four quarts makes one gallon, so the cow produces 1500 gallons per year. A year has 12 months, so the cow produces 125 gallons per month. In five months, that's 625 gallons.

6,000 quarts divided by 4 = 750 gallons per year. 750 divided by 12 = 62.5 gallons per month. 62.5 times 5 = 312.5 gallon in 5 months. The big question is how much is nearly? I used 6,000 quarts to do the math, is it 6,000 or less quarts per year?
