No, I actually think there's more dying to do. This might be just the beginning.
If you've been around long enough, you've heard of TV's Seal of Good Practice which represented a set of self-governing standards of decency devised by the National Association of Radio and Television Broadcasters.
You see, there was a time when "entertainment" in America had something to do with artistic ability and comparatively rare, high-quality skills in the areas of comedy, singing, music, and acting. To be included in that somewhat exclusive club of people we called entertainers, you had to deliver your art as well as or better than the guy/gal before you.
One day, though, somebody must have fallen on his head, made a fool of himself, and because a handful of people laughed at the guy, that must have given a "genius" idea to a TV executive who said, "Hey, who says we need to pay big bucks for top talent? We can just act dopey, it seems, and some people will still eat it up!" And that was the beginning of the end, as I see it.
Now, when someone can't (or won't) strive to perform their art with class and distinction, some entertainer "wannabes" have begun to scrape the bottom of the barrel by daring to make a virtual mockery of the definition of what it means to be an entertainer. The filth, vulgarities, and stupidity that rule today make Moe, Larry, and Curly seem like intelligent gentlemen by today's standards.
You know, if it weren't for 60 Minutes, I'd have no use for CBS. Without John Stossel and 20/20, I'd have no care for ABC either. As for NBC and Fox Television, forget them.
I watch my share of TV, but I'd rather watch reruns of Dragnet than watch CSI and the other bunch of modern police-dramas.
American Idol? I think Star Search did it with more class.
Survivor and those other nonsensical "reality" shows? I have to force myself to catch a glimpse once in a while, but can't stand it for more than a few minutes.
Letterman? Please bring back Joey Bishop, Jack Paar, and Johnny Carson's re-runs.
And what happened to the likes of The Smothers Brothers, Carol Burnette, Garry Moore, and Ed Sullivan, just to name a few?
Yup, I'm old fashioned, all right ... Thank goodness.

Before Jesus came in the flesh, we are told that sinners who repented WERE saved by faith in the substitute slayed animal sacrifices outlined by God. And like those of today, they had to stop sinning (that's what repenting means). The actual atonement, however, took place with perfect timing when Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice these animals prefigured. So before Jesus came, the people looked FORWARD to the cross while those after, look BACK to the atonement on the cross. Therefore, in a way, you're right: it is the same for those who repent of their sins. For those who don't, there is no sacrifice or heaven. It really wouldn't have mattered when God would have chosen to send Jesus to earth but being gracious as He is, He gave mankind all the prophecies needed to help man recognize the true Messiah and prove, once again, that God keeps His promises regarding salvation and judgments. He couldn't have made these any clearer.

Imus is just a stepping stone for the Liberals to go after Talk Radio.
(Wow. Snowwebs, above, has words of wisdom: "White meat doesn't fight back when trapped".)
Imus should have fought back, instead of bowing down and asking forgiveness.

Please pass the white meat.
It's tasty, fair game, and doesn't fight back when we trap it.
Oh, and can we go through all the transcripts for the Al Sharpton radio show. I am sure he has offended the white race somehow.
