I really do not have a good answer for your question, I do not understand why anyone cheats. But to all those that say the other woman under stood something the wife didnt or made him feel special or understood...well of course she did...its part of her ammunition. These sleazy excuses for women that go after other womens husbands know how to 'play' the game. they know the right thing to say and do...they do enough of everything right to get the man to question himself and his marriage only sometimes when he figures out he has gotten involved with a psychotic insecure homewrecker, it has gone to far before he realizes he was actually happily married to begin with. So I guess that would be somewhat of an answer, because this fat tramp puts it all out there and says everything she can to make your hubby feel 'oh so special'.

A man would cheat with an ugly woman even though he should be blessed and appreciate the beautiful wife he has because he was put in a situation where he wanted to fit in with everyone else so he drank much alcohol. Once he had a lot of alcohol in him his vision started to become distorted and the ugly fat woman started looking good to him. Since she is desperate and orchestrated the whole thing to manipulate the the married man and get him drunk; she then started doing all kinds of slutty things to keep his interests and make him go crazy and not feel bored. He basically got tempted by the devil and that is why he cheated and made the biggest mistake of his life.

The most high profile case I ever saw was when Uma Thurman got cheated on by Ethan Hawk with some little thing which looked good, but not as good as Uma.
The sad thing is you could walk down hollywood or beverly hills , and for every knockout beautiful woman you see walking down the street you could be sure there is some dude that's tired of sleeping with her. It's not a mature attitude. It's not about impressing your friends. It's not like a dude gets up in the morning and says, how can I mess with women's minds today. I guess it's a selfish thing. A giving way to your drive to do every woman you can; and variety just is something so irresistable. In terms of looks, I've started to notice that women are way too harsh to each other compared to men. Guys, I think, appreciate a wider spectrum of female beauty than what you see on magazine covers. I see women criticize each other's wardrobe to uncomprehensible degrees; I think it is true that women dress up more for each other; because guys just don't care as much. What I also notice is that guys that screw over women the most seem to become more attractive to the very same women- Why do they keep carrying the "dumper" in their heads so long after the fact? Why do they torture themselves? Would they take them back so easily? Is the hate just frustrated mad love? .. I don't know what that's about. BUT, when you are not one of those guys, when a girl tells you your a "nice guy", that is such a bad sign that she will not ever be into you. At least that's what I see.
Anyway, my theory is that guys are wired to want variety; and it's only when your mature -Mind over Phisiology- about it that you decide to pick the just one girl. By the way, "Giving it up" to make him stay with you is never a good idea; do it only if YOU want to do it. Being "easy" just means they can move on to the next one that much faster. One thing everyone has working against then is that I once saw on yahoo MRI's of people who are in love; you know, like when you get that stupid look; the MRIs showed decreased brain activity- in other words you really do become dumberer when your in love :(

A man fools around with any woman ugly or not because of how he feels about himself when he is with her. If a woman constantly nags and criticizes him and belittles all of his efforts from one moment to the next then it won't matter one bit if she is attractive. Along comes simple girl who treats him and reacts like he is the be all end all of her world and he thinks he's Superman. He is going to keep going back for more. Add in a little temptation/sin / and risk and you have a recipe for an affair.
Also, affairs don't just happen. A marriage is in trouble long before either partner engages in betraying the marriage vows.

"Ugliness" is not important, nor is physical beauty. When men cheat, they are looking for personality and imagination and fun. I have not cheated physically (I did have a cyber-affair and my wife had a real physical affair years ago), and I am not tempted to now, but I think its fair to say that physical beauty would take a back seat to imagination and openness to try to fill whatever void the man might feel. In fact, affairs aside, thats what men should look for more often, right?

The other thing is, why would a smart attractive woman waste her time with a cheating jerk? Think about it....

He wanted to be "king of the hill" and he found someone to make him feel that way.. it's a very selfish and childish thing to do, most really attractive women won't sit there and make a jerk feel like he's "all that" so he goes after someone who will act grateful for his attention.

In the situation of I know of personally, where a friend of my then fiancee cheated on his beautiful, thin, wife with a low self-esteem who was supporting his sorry a$$ was to control his wife.

He cheated with a 300lb pound woman with the shape of 300lb man with the face of bulldog was due to his personal inadequacies to "prove his worth" by showing he was desirable to the female of the species (albeit on the low end of the spectrum) and that some other woman would likely be fool enough to fill her shoes if she didn't continue supporting him financially and stop bugging him about getting a job.

I was once told by a man that it was because he felt that she was more in his leage, that pretty women were to far out of reach even when they were with him. He felt he always had to worry about the guys hitting on the beautiful wife, but the uglier girl there were no worries of her cheating.
