It would go down... but not enough to make a difference or even a measurable amount. Look at your hand... take out an atom... see any difference?

There would be very little change as the boats only float on the water and only a small proportion is under the water. Try an experiment yourself by floating a piece of wood in a glass of water and to balance the equation place something heavy in the glass, which sinks. You will then find the answer

it would go down, but probably not by much (like maybe a centimetre). After all, there is lots and lots of water, and only a few boats in comparison.
The sticking your fist in a glass of water comparison is incorrect. Your fist is nearly the same as the amount of water, so the water rises quite a lot to make enough space for it. However, the sea is huge compared to the bottom of a few thousand boats, so it really wouldn't make that much of a difference.

Chances are nothing would happen. The oceans are not like a sink/bath.The water stays the same, rising and falling as the tide goes in/out.

Naaa....

Don't listen to 'em!

Take all of the boats out of the water at the same time and the sea level would drop by at least 150 feet! ;->

Compare the volume of the boats with the volume of the oceans and it's LESS THAN insignificant!

I'm guessing it would lower..

Try this: Put your fist it a glass of water. The level goes up right? (Heh, it might overflow, try not to make a mess..)
Now, take your fist out. What happens? The level goes down..
That's my logic anyway. ^_^
