First I want to thank your son for helping keep our country free. Yes I will pray for you and your son, I'll also light a few candles at church. Bless you.

Amy, I know how you feel. My son has been in the Army for 17 years now. There has been times, when I didn't know where he was at for 3 months at a time, because certain missions are top secret. I always hated that. My daughter-in-law actually deals w/ it better than I do. He is my only child, and as a mother, I'm sure you know my feelings on that. Keep your chin up, and only think positive thoughts, negative ones won't help you get thru this. Just keep telling your self, he will be fine. My prayers are with you and your son. Be very proud of him, and tell him that often.....It will be okay!

I pray everyday for all our Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen. Without them our country is nothing. I understand your anxiety too, but you also have to remember that the number of casualties (wounded and dead) is less than 2% of the total number serving in the armed forces.
God Bless you and your son.

I really hope your son reconsiders to join. Seriously.
Yet, is his decision to join or not. I myself wanted to join the Marines, but I have my reasons not to join. They might offend some people here.
You can always try to convince your son. Get your husband's help too. Your family over all. But if he goes, the only thing left is to support YOUR son.
Ma'am, I wish you my very best. As for your son as well.

My prayers are with you. Both my brother and husband are in Iraq, so i know what you must be feeling about your son wanting to join. Be proud of your son and stand behind his decision.
