You have a choice. Either people are deliberately voting for the person who wins, or the show is rigged, and the votes are not even being counted. As to the quality of Sanjaya's singing, I am not the judge, nor do I really see this as earth shaking. The show, itself, is something of a joke, because many of those who watch it are just watching to see the contestants get slammed. The real measure of the future of the show will be found in the ratings, not in the winner. If the ratings are high, and the advertisers want the show, it will continue. If the ratings are low, and the networks can't sell the advertising time for a huge profit, the show will die. Every viewer who watches adds to the chances the show will live. Doesn't matter who wins... Go figure... Rush Limbaugh has one thing right- follow the money!

Howard Stern and votetheworst.com are collectively ruining the show. Sanjaya and to a lesser extent, Haley(who thankfully was voted off last night)had not business making it this far, and now the remaining "talent" has been deluded to such a degree that I can hardly watch it anymore. It's made the show a laughing stock and unless the voting system is changed things will only get worse, if you can imagine that. What they NEED TO Do is either limit each caller(and keep track of phone numbers as well)to one vote a night or continue letting people vote as usual but leave the final decision up to the judges or Clive Davis and other record producers. Either one of these changes might turn some away and there for hurt the ratings a bit but it sure beats the alternative, which is death with in a year or two if nothing is done.

Sanjaya is cute and maybe he'll win. This won't mean a thing though, it's only a Reality TV show anyway. Have you heard how they do the auditions and all that stuff - this show is making big money off Sanjaya and I am sure the longer they can keep him on the show, the better they will like it. Personally, I think Jordin should win.

Clearly they are deliberatley voting for Sanjaya. There's a website devoted to it. www.votefortheworst.com. Howard Stern has popularized it on his radio show. The site's intention is to keep bad performers on the show as long as possible to try and keep the show "interesting."

i think that they are just voting for him because his hair style changes drastically each week and they find that entertaining (bad hair styles too)

YO: he is American. his heritage isn't American but technically he is American because he is an American Citizen
