I had cramps in the insides of my thighs a few days before I gave birth. It happened with both of my pregnancies.

I had more energy the two days before delivering and then the night before I went into labor I slept really well. Each person is different and each pregnancy is different. There is no real way to tell except to be prepared.

YES. Not just my body but my mood as well. My breasts were tender and my baby had dropped where I was walking like a duck everywhere. The other thing was I felt like I needed to have everything ready. Not in the relaxed sense but as in the obsessive. Moving furniture, packing and repacking, cleaning and more cleaning. I noticed that more than anything. I am sure I drove everyone crazy! Not one will admit it though, they just smile and say it was part of the experience.

The whole entire time I was pregnant, it felt different.
My body ached all over, I had morning sickness throughout the entire pregnancy, which in my opinion should be called 24/7 sickness cause that's what it was for me. I was moody and always was too hot.....Lets just make a long, long, story short and say that even though it was hard, it's ALL worth it when you bring that beautiful newborn baby into this world and it just feels so right holding that gorgeous little angel in your arms for the first time :) It's just such an amazing feeling that is beyond words for how good that wonderful baby is :)
Congratulations!!!!

Well, from my experience, you get very active and feel great. Like a hormonal boost. Some of my friends confirmed that. Physical signs as I recall is the belly getting very low and there is some pressure near the pelvis. I think though that women are not all alike.
Good luck!

I only noticed that I had a hard time walking because the baby's head had moved down (dropped). The thing I noticed most was the "nesting" frenzy I went through. I had to be sure everything was clean and perfect for when the baby came home. I had 5 children.

actually, i had a VERY different experience than most of the people that answered with all 3 of my previous deliveries!! i felt pretty crappy for about a day before...i felt a little achey and flu like (but no fever) i also had looser bowels...not necesarily diarhea tho. i just wanted to lay down and rest..but when the contractions kicked in i was VERY restless!
pretty darn soon i;ll be looking forward to it all again!

Physical changes? No, not that I saw.
I couldn't eat. What I ate wouldn't stay down.
I had dirrahea for 2 days before contractions started.
Doctor said my body was cleaning itself out.

I didn't feel any different than usual. The only thing that I did notice was that I had to go poop a lot more than usual.
