Amen brother. i won't stand the two Jesse or Al. the two are cleansing soap boxing for his or her own political agendas, and that i think of that Don Imus did far extra POSITIVES on the air, than negatives. What he reported replaced into abhorrent, however the money that guy will improve for charities is astounding. the only sturdy ingredient to come again from his being terminated is that if the standard public incredibly is going regardless of each and everything transgressions of racism, sexism, and this form new "bastardized" entertainment-information programming, AKA Ann Coulter and her comments that the widows have been happy that their hubbies died on 9/11, etc. That SHI-ITE needs to end altogether and and on all information networks. i'm bored to death with this spin monger crappola like Tucker, Scarborough, Glen Beck, O'Reilly and Hannity. State run television, not something extra.

The ACLU fights against government attempts to violate the first amendment. CBS and NBC have no constitutional obligation to continue to give Imus a forum--they are the bosses, they can hire and fire as they see fit.

The ACLU is not involved because there's nothing for them to be involved in.

Who cares about Imus. I always flipped right past his show on my way to fox news.
All Imus ever did was mumble, and the one time he spoke clearly, he says something so completely stupid its amazing!
THANKS Rev.AL for freeing up that air time.
Free speech is one thing, but being an obnoxious turd is another thing.

personally I can't stand Imus but the libs and the cons should be getting together about this free speech issue.
after all shouldn't the marketplace decide if his "product" is valuable or not? I also think the Rutger's girls b-ball squad should sue his sorry *** for slander.

It seems to me that the ACLU have their collective heads shoved into the sand. To allow two people with such black marks on their records to lead anything or anyone is ridiculous!! Were are those that claim to stand up for people's rights!!!

Only blacks can say anything about blacks. If any other race makes any comment at all about them, they are racists. Just don't ask them as a single person or you get their actual opinion, ask the same person with a group and he'll cry racism.

Where are Imus's civil liberties being violated?

I don't see the government being at all involved in this, do you?
