I need as many answers as I can get because this is for my speech 100 class. thank you for the help. I believe thah if it was legal and regulated it would slightly decrease crime rate and decrease the number of infections of STI'S (formaly known as STD's)

The idea behind legalizing prostitution is that prostitutes would be required to be licensed, which could require them to take monthly STI screenings, be of proper age, and other requirements. The area in which they can work would also be regulated, and they would be at a decreased risk for rape and abuse because they would have more freedom and rights to go to police about those things. My opinion is that legalizing prostitution would make things safer for licensed prostitutes, but what about those that continue breaking the laws? And, yes, it would require a community, or many communities, to recognize prostitution as a legitimate career. I'm not from California, and I obviously have not made up my mind about this issue. Remember though that there is a difference between legalization and decriminalization.

Well from one point you are right, but by making it legal we decreasing our moral level in California.
2) we'll have to state that prost. is a profession which is not true because profession is presumed only speaking about labor that benefits our society

But every coin must have another side so have ours.
If we will have prost. legalized we will monitor the situation systematically and will license their activities
The rate of rapes must decrease significantly for the prices for legal services are to be low to meet the interests of the local communities.
But it is for you to decide @to be or not to be@ Bye

it would not decrease the amount of STD around. it would make it worse becuase more ppl would do it if the law passed for they wouldnt have to be afraid of the law. and this would NOT decrease crime but make it worse for there would be more people in this crowd and more people wanting the nasty. More drug use and sex all over the place.
