Well first you need to predict your ovulation. It is typically 14 days after your first day of your last cycle. However it is not always. I run 8 days out from my cycle! So once you know that and start tracking, morning sex is the best. But you always want to do it 2/3 days intervals like this:
3//31 my cycle - waited 5 days out, baby danced. went two days then baby danced, then baby danced, then another skipped day then baby dance. 2 days before ovulation, day of ovulation, day after {just incase} and then two days after.
You want him to build back up so every other day during ovulation is great, sperm can live up to 5 days in the womans uterus!

Three days after you ovulate. The luteal phase is the least fertile period of the month. Your egg only lives 24 hours and after your temperature rises, it is too late to fertilize the egg. Additionally, since luteal phases are 12-16 days and you need 7-10 days for fertilization, most often you are in the clear by day three. The best thing to do is chart all the signs. If followed correctly, this form of natural family planning works very well.
You are actually MOST fertile between your period and ovulation because the sperm lives for up to 6 days in healthy cervical fluid. I know it sounds weird but the sperm waiting in the fallopian tube have "dibs" on the egg, essentially.
This is contrary to popular belief but it is true. I have been following the TCOYF for both birth control for 7 years and when I wanted to get pregnant, I got pregnant immediately. It worked like a charm. I strongly encourage you to buy the book below.
ADDL COMT: It's amazing how you get neg. feedback or thumbs down for actually knowing the facts and being educated. I am a fertility counselor who gets paid to help people become pregnant-I share my insights and wammo-negative feedback. I guess even a doctor would get negative if they said something you people didn't like, eh?

Whoever told you that you can have sex at ANY time and not get pregnant is an idiot. You CAN get pregnant at any time. Even during your period, however rare it may be.
There are times when it is less likely or more likely.. but never, never. Always use protection if you do not a baby or an STD.

There isn't a best time. A woman's cycle can change from the slightest thing. She could even ovulate on her period! There really is no safe time. If you want to avoid pregnancy abstain from sex or use protection (at least two kinds as condoms and pills both are not 100%). Best of luck.

Actually there isn't any safe time. You take the chance of getting pregnant any time you have unprotected sex. Even when your on your period. If you don't want your guy to wear protection take yourself to the doctor and get on some birth control. That's what I did, you still have the possibility of getting pregnant but its a very rare 99.9% Chance. Hope I helped. Christiegirl:)

There isn't one. ok, yeah, there are only 3 days a month, if you ovulate on a regular basis, that one can become pregnant. But, sperm are quite sneaky! They can live in the body for up to 3 days. And sometimes your body can throw you a curve a ball. So, just to be on the safe side, use protection!

There really isn't any good time, even after the menstrual cycle.
The only way to ensure against pregnancy most of the time is to use protection, the only 100 percent way of preventing pregnancy is abstinence

Since every woman is different and cycles vary, there is no best time to have unprotected sex if you dont want to get pregnant.

When the woman has gone through menopause and the guy has enough viagra. Other than that, anyone who believes there is a safe time without protection shouldn't be allowed to have sex. They'll just breed stupid children!
