My F350 turbo diesel got very wet when I hit a puddle that I did not see. It began to buck and my “engine needs service” light came on. It finally dried out and things were ok again. At least I thought things were ok. The problem I now have is that every time it rains, I get that same bucking and the light comes back on. I do not know where to look for the problem. I have been told that it is the glow plugs, its wires, its this or that. I was wondering if anybody ever had this problem?

Check the air intake. If you knocked something loose, you could be sucking water into the cylinders every time it's wet.

Maybe a fan belt is slipping when wet? Spray some water on to the lower belt area and see if it does it when your parked and rev the engine up.

Start by having the computer codes read. Troubleshooting from there will lead to the problem

Take it to the dealership, they'll be able to answer your question.
