I'll assume you are talking about a clothes dryer. Unplug the dryer and take the lower panel off. It either has several screws or small nut headed bolts on it.
You should see the element and the wires connected to it. Loosen the nuts that hold the wires and remove the wires, pull out the element and install the new one, reconnect the wires and reinstall the cover. Plug it back in and turn it on.

A lot of the time the element burns out because it gets too hot. The reason for this is a clogged vent line. It gets clogged with lint and then the air can't flow. It will take longer to dry your clothes and waste energy. Make sure it is clean before you use the new element. Good luck
