Did it happen so?

It happened for me. I married my high school sweetheart when I was 19, that ended in divorce, and I swore I would never marry again, as I had trust issues after that. I dated, and that was ok for a little while, but I was always searching for that one, it took a long time for that one to come into my life, but it happend, been married since October, and it has been pure heaven. The key to success is finding the right person for you, as you have to feel that person is your everything, friend, lover, companion, confidant, and best friend.

Most definitely. I married my first wife being too immature at the time and divorced fater 14 1/2 years. Met and married my second wife and it was heaven on earth for the next 16 years until I lost her to cancer. There is happiness after divorce - trust me. Life is what you make it. If two people put forth the proper effort you can have a blissful life.

I absolutely think if you are lucky again to find happiness after a divorce than of course. I am divorce with two children and just got engage recently. I just had another baby as well and I can honestly say that I am alot happier in such a short period of time than I was in my first marriage. Sometimes we find ourselves in such a safety net that when we become not safe anymore we tend to get afraid to take chances again. But, sometimes we won't know if it's worth the chance if we don't leap*****

My mother divorced my father (she was tired of being a mom & wife) and he re-married a couple of years later. They were happy for over 30 years before he passed away. My mom had issues - she married 5 more times before she finally stuck with one for 20 years until he passed away of congestive heart failure....and I don't think they were truly happy - I think they just co-existed peacefully.

Sure, if you're willing work through the issues that the first marriage brought up that you didn't handle successfully there.

Sometimes this is made easier by linking up with a person who is especially good at helping their partner do this.

Quite often though, the second one is chosen for the same unconscious reasons the first one was and you find yourself with deja vu all over again.

Good luck.

Well, I'm still on my 1st marriage, but I know of many of my friends' parents that have married again and have stayed w/ the 2nd spouse for many happy years. It's just a matter of finding the right person for you all over again and grow and change together.

Some people have. Since I don't want to get married it is a moot point for myself. I'm very happily divorced and single and plan on staying that way.

why yes, just because your first marriage ended does not mean you will not find love again. take your time, look around and you will see wonderful people who have the same ideas, morals, that you have or find appealing . don't think it will happen over night. it happens when you are not looking for love. and you will be surprised when you do realize how you feel like its the first time all over again
