There is something about reading a real paper that makes you feel grown-up and intelligent. Why? I have no idea. But the events of today will still be important tomorrow because one thing leads to another! Never think that something is so isolated and unimportant that it doesn't have an impact somewhere else! You'd be surprised.

People just feel smart after reading the paper because not everybody does it and they think that they have an advantage over everybody else...you do make a good point that things wont be so important at other times, but sometimes, its good to know things....(political news is just one example).

I would feel dumb for reading a newspaper. Why pay for something when you can get it free on the net.

No. I feel stupid because I'm wasting time. The internet is faster and I don't have to pull out the sports and business sections.
