and I agree with you... What is wrong with just being an American? Do we really need to be hyphenated -Americans all the time. I don't like call myself an Scottish-Irish-English-American... It takes to long. I'm an American and what's wrong with that? Nothing!

Let's see. When the first settlers came to what is now the US there were hundreds - thousands of tribes of Native Americans. These were pretty immensely diverse. Yet somehow out of all this 'terrible' diversity the US was formed. Sure, it was at the monumental cost of these communities but meh.

Then in the 19th century the US had HUGE immigration from just about every country in Europe. German was even considered to be the official language of the US there were so many German speaking immigrants. The US was seriously considering siding with the central powers (Germany etc) in WWI. Russians, Poles, Irish and later Chinese and Japanese immigrants - immigration is nothing new in the US, it is what the country was founded on. Each country at the time had not only its own langauge, but its own distinct and different culture. The US now is more unbelievably bland, uniform and corporatised than at any point in its history.

The US is founded on diversity united. Long may it be so.

No, but i think the idea of diversity is. Let me explain. People say there is no such thing as a true American (Save Native Americans) because America is a nation of different cultures. I think that is not destroying us, but hurting us. People in this country need to come together and say doesn't matter if you are Black, Asian, White, or any shade in between, you are an American. And that alone makes you a true American.

I am not sure how it is in other countries, but if my parents moved to Germany and then I was born would I be considered American-German, or simply German? That is my point.

Diversity is an important part of what America is as a country. We all have different cultural backgrounds and can bring the best things from those together. The problem with diversity comes when people take more pride in clinging to their own sub-group than being Americans, period.

I think what is destroying America are all those people that get all up in arms whenever anyone says anything that they don't agree with. Come on, isn't this supposed to be a "free" country? I think Americans are destroying America, let there be free speech, unless it offends one of the 300 million people in this country, then you should be hunted down and prosecuted until everyone thinks you've suffered enough. And then, you can be fined, after being fired of coarse.
Let's get real people, stop destroying our beutiful country and let us all live in peace.

Diversity makes America. You can make arguements with the most miniscule things. The majority of the food we eat in the United States have been influenced by outside cultures another EX: Look at two of the most important cities in america, Los Angeles and New York largely poplulated and built by immigrants. Besides no diversity sounds pretty boring to me.

NO - I think what is destroying America is the dishonesty that is being spread from the White House. His rewarding of dishonest friends with promotions and firing honest hard working prosecutors.

There isn't any Justice in the Department of Justice. The US Constitution set up three branches of this government. Executive, Judicial and Legislative.

The Executive branch has corrupted the Judicial branch and the Legislative branch is finding it difficult to put Justice back into the Department of Justice.

The Attorney General that was appointed by the Executive branch has shown that he is unfit to lead the Judicial Branch because he is dishonest and has and is intentionally making the Legislative branch waste its time in their pursuit of Justice.

Meanwhile the wars continue, the executive branch is making money at the additional cost of more brave men and women being killed and/or wounded in an unnecessary illegal wars.

Can you tell that the Executive Branch is led by a member of Skull & Bones?

To all of you pro diversity pukes posting here: ...Let me tell you something! Try living next to illegal aliens that blast crappy Mexican music with heavy bass overtones, all hours of the day, and blacks waiting at the bus stop with a basketball and pants sagging giving you dirty looks for standing in your yard watering your plants, You can have all the diversity you want! In fact, come and take it from me! I have had enough. I have noticed the only pro diversity pukes trying justify diversity all live in nice neighborhoods and will be going to a nice school on daddy s dime. Until you have put up with this **** on a daily basis over a long period of time, just go to hell and quit trying to justify it. Also I wont even mention the crack heads that go up and down the street all day long to by crack from the black. I wish I could afford to move, but that s life!

I hate to disillusion you but diversity is what created America.

Native Americans and African slaves did most of the hard early work in this country. Our Constitution is based on the Iroquois' laws.

Bigots like you have a false idea of how this country was born.

Not at all. In fact I contend diversity makes us stronger. America was and is founded on the strengths of those who wanted a better life and came to America. Check your history.
Color or sex was not a requirement.

When was America ever homogenous? There was never a time in US History when there has been nothing but white people on the National stage. The only difference is that there is no official or unofficial recognition of a dominant race.

The US was never and will never be homogenous like Iceland or Japan.
