For slippers, I prefer Capezio canvas. I don't remember the brand name of toe shoes I like, but I'm guessing you're still at the slipper stage.

capezio.com is the best place to by ballet slippers. If you live in a large city there may be a Capezio store in your city.

Sansha ballet slippers are inexpensive and are comfortable IMO. Even their pointe shoes which are normally pricey are priced very well.

I get mine at the local army surplus store. If you don't mind camo slippers thats your place for good value.

these are my favorite ballet shoes ever!
they are made of very comfy canvas, they have excellent straps on them, and they accentuate the look of your arch without you having to try.
