I've been doing some research into global warming (and this isn't to start a global warming debate). I know that 0.04% of the earth's atmosphere is carbon dioxide (CO2). I know that approximately 14% of man-made CO2 comes from the burning of transportation fuels.

However, there are natural sources of CO2 as well. Some percent of the CO2 in the atmosphere comes from natural fermentation. Some comes from biological breathing. Some comes from natural gas wells.

Of the 0.04% of CO2 in the atmosphere, what portion comes from natural sources and what portion comes from man-made sources?

About 4% man made.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
Pre-industrial baseline 288,000
Natural additions 68,520
Man-made additions 11,880

Co2 doesn't effect global warming. The sun does. 50 years ago before we started pumping c02 out it was hotter then it is today. The earth goes in cycles just the way it is.

To go along with your research . CO2 has 1 atom C and 2 0xygen . If we have a bad C foot print what about your Oxygen foot print.
