I've been watching the news at work and everytime I hear anything about it they never repeat what he said, or give any indication as to what he said.

Well as you read the vast number of answers, now you know. But my questions is, who actually saw or heard Imus say that live? Must have been some chick who sat on the remote, turned it in to MSNBC (which she didn't know she had in her cable line up) and heard the unspeakable words.
I mean that has to be how it happened, because who else watches the show to care and share what this guys said?

Imus often makes fun of ignorant people by mimicking them. He was mimicking misogynist black men when he referred to some female basketball players as nappy headed ho's.
