Serious answer: If it has to be hockey related, I am going to the HHOF. I have never been there, and since I am a hockey history dork, I am sure that would be a dream come true. Wacky answer: I would make good on my promise, pick up Lity, and get swacked in a cabin up in the mountains. I would bring the beer, because I know he gets the cheap stuff. No kegs. ;) Bonus: Honestly, I have one account for fantasy hockey and here, and another for my e-mail. The one for my e-mail isn't even signed up for Y Answers. As you know, I lack computer skills, so I doubt I could even remember how to make another account. One the wacky side: I found out the other day that I had a bank account I didn't even know about. When I was in college (eons ago) I didn't live here. My car broke down, and I had to go buy another one. I got a loan through a credit union that I was not currently a member. Therefore, I had to obtain a savings account to get the auto loan. I am not sure what I was thinking at the time, because I was so broke back then, but I put $100 in the account. Well, about a month ago, I got a letter in the mail stating that I had an account still open and the credit union was bought out by another company. I decided I'll am just going the leave the money in there, and try to forget about it...then if I ever become homeless, I'll have some beer money, lmao.

The longest overtime game in NHL history went into the 6th overtime period, which has been done twice, with both games ending 1-0. Mud Bruneteau scored for Detroit against the Montreal Maroons on March 24, 1936, at 16:30 of the 6th overtime period in the Stanley Cup semifinal series. Ken Doraty scored for Toronto against Boston on April 3, 1933, at 4:46 of the 6th overtime period, also in the Stanley Cup semifinal series. The Red Wings went on to win the Stanley Cup in 1936, beating Leafs 3 games to 1, while the Leafs went to the Finals in 1933, losing out to the New York Rangers, 3-1 as well.

Don't forget that in the 2000 Finals, the Stars played a triple overtime Game 5 against the Devils (won) and then a double overtime Game 6 (lost), with a combined total of 3 goals between the teams in what amounted to 10 periods and change. Brodeur vs. Belfour, who, between them, have recorded more shutouts than any of us are likely to see games (in person, anyway).
As for the Canucks, I don't know if they've ever played anything like that before.

The overtime lasted 78 minutes, 6 seconds. The longest overtime in NHL history was 116:30 when Detroit beat the Montreal Maroons 1-0 on March 24, 1936.

It was not the longest game, as others have pointed out. However, the losing team set a record for most shots in a playoff game with 76. Not only that, they lost. Luongo made 72 saves on 76 shots.
