im just wondering why. Is it because they dont have eye muscles? whats the scientific explanation to this?

Most actually do sleep with their eyes closed.
I've never seen one of my roosters asleep with their eyes open before, actually.

They close there eyes, Chickens do.

they have a thin almost clear eyelid. but they do close them when they sleep.
