You should absolutly visit Thessaloniki and the Jewish museum there. Thessaloniki was the biggest Jewish city in the world untill the fire of 1917. Read Mark Mazower's book "Salonica - city of ghosts"

The biggest Greek Jewish community was in Thessaloniki. There is a museum there, look at www.jmth.gr
