Are you looking for paper for endleaves or for making a paper book cover? If you want a decorative outer paper, it's not strictly necessary to use acid free, though it is better. A good quality hand made paper would be fine. For endleaves, most conservation companies will be able to supply acid free paper that looks more traditional, for example Conservation By Design. I've worked in a book conservation studio and they supplied their acid free paper.
