there is a website that i visit freaquently and i need to create a shortcut. everthing ive tried hasnt worked...any advise?

shortcut icon dont think so untill you bookmark

For what do you want to create a shortcut? The website itself? That' sort of what Favorites--> Add a Favorite (in Internet Explorer) or Bookmarks --> Bookmark This Page (in Firefox) are all about. Then you just click Favorites or Bookmarks and your frequent site will be in the list. You won't get it on the desktop, though!

1. Go to the website you go to alot
2. Copy the url (the http:///www.examplesite.com in the box towards the top)
3. Go to your desktop
4. Right click and go to New
5. Then to Shortcut
6. in the box paste the address (url) into the box
7. Press next
8. Give it a name
9. Press finished
10. test it out

It should work

go to website, bookmark it, go into bookmarks, click and drag to desktop!!
