But we can't do that now because it is against the law to threaten the life of the President and members of Congress!

No. individuals overwhelmingly do no longer carry their politicians in charge for broken campaign delivers - no count if or no longer they're Republican or Democrat. Re-election expenditures in congress are properly over 70% and function been for some years. Polling continuously exhibits 40 5% persons votes help Republicans and 40 5% help Democrats and those ranges infrequently substitute no count what the overall performance metrics of the government party is -- debt, wars, unemployment, and so on. Politifact (and others) of course have a political schedule. the reality they're in simple terms monitoring Republican delivers is troubling. further, politicians infrequently make direct delivers and in spite of in the event that they do vote tallying is often would not without put off bearing directly to delivers. it truly is often an opinion as to if a vote for or against a invoice is breaking your promise. case in point, assume you promised to improve the minimum salary. A six hundred internet site invoice comes previously you which ones additionally will improve the minimum salary yet in addition incorporates a protection stress base improve, cuts in policing, a farm subsidy extension, closure of two national parks, borrows extra from social risk-free practices, and so on.. You vote against the invoice. Now some team says which you broke your promise to improve the minimum salary. Vote for it and yet another team screams which you broke your promise on preserving social risk-free practices. there is not any one-to-one dating between maximum votes and delivers. the two events will proceed in charge one yet another and in the two situations their supporters will settle for this and not see 'their' officers as a results of fact the challenge. individuals in simple terms overwhelmingly see all matters in terms of Democrat vs. Republican and vote that way in spite of overall performance.

The system seems to be designed to protect politicans and corporations. One must be rich to fight the system due to costs of getting a fair shake in the court system. Seems that money and influence are the main factors. Once they are "in" they protect one another, raise more money and the cycle continues. I don't think one should have to be "rich" to run for office. I think the pandering to corporate interests needs to stop. The misuse of the military for corporate profiteering is immoral, IMO. Also, in regard to health benefits, insurance, etc. the politicians and govt. workers get nice benefit packages. Most in small private companies are told to figure it out on their own. Our country really is living in a dreamworld.

In a democracy, electing different people is the best way to make your opinion felt. If they commited a crime, they can be indicted but you better be able to prove they committed a crime, not just have different views politically than you therefor you think they should be "punished"
