I think it depends on how it is said, to be honest with you. A woman's job IS to cook and clean, but it's also to be a companion and help meet to a man, take care of her kids, etc. It's nice to hear that they appreciate the dinner you've cooked or notice when you've waxed the floors or something.

I have a 16 year old son who likes to say to me, "Get in the kitchen woman!", which never fails to both amuse and irritate me. I always threaten to beat him, but he just laughs and says, "Mom, you'll hurt yourself worse than you hurt me." That is true. He's a big ol' boy. In reality, he respects and loves me. He just likes to tease.

No, I just tell him that it's if it's my job to cook and clean that it's his job to mow the lawn, trim the trees, take out the trash, paint the house, piss IN the toilet, fix the car, organize the garage, go to work to pay all the bills, put up a new fence, teach the kids how to ride a bike, put his nasty socks in the hamper and last but not least.....keep me satisfied. And that when he's ready to do his job....I'll do mine.
