Is she still getting formula? Kids need to get formula (or breastmilk) until 12 months of age. 7 Months is pretty early either way, but not unheard of.

Drinking breastmilk or formula out of a sippy cup at 7 months is absolutely okay. Some babies take to the cup easier than others. Just be sure not to give cows milk until 1 year of age. Remember you are the mom and not the babysitter. Good Job.

Some babies do not take bottles. My 8 month old either nurses or drinks from a sippy cup with a straw. He never liked bottles so I only nursed him until about 6 months when I gave him a sippy cup. He loved it and now drinks his water or breastmilk from it.

I took my daughter off the bottle at the same age. You can still put formula in a sippy cup. Besides that at age 6 months they should be starting milk. Keep her off the bottle because the older she gets the harder its going to be. Your her mother and you know whats best for her. Take care

I agree that your baby should be on formula or breastmilk still but there is no rules that says she has to keep using a bottle. If she is using a sippy cup, BRAVO to you. The longer a baby is on the bottle the harder it is to take them off. Just be sure she isn't having milk yet, she is too young.

Also, if the baby sitter isn't willing to abide by your rules, it is time to find a new sitter.

She should have formula till 12 months old. However if you want her off a bottle give her formula in a sippy cut just be aware that most babies at that age cannot suck out of a sippy. You need to be worried about her getting the proper amount of nutrients from formula and about dehydration.

My son was breast fed and he never took a bottle. He went straight to a sippy cup. Your baby should still be getting breast milk or formula not cow's milk yet, but it is perfectly fine if he's getting it from a cup instead of a bottle.

Wow..if she's taking her milk in a sippy cup thats great! It prevents a lot of stuff like ear infections and tooth decay. And is best for you, you don't have to wash bottles.

hey

i wouldnt worry. My daughters 8 months next week and she's been off her bottle for about two weeks. I went to see th ehealth visitor to check it out and she didnt seem to think there was any problem. She said it usually happpens between 10 - 12 months but some babies are just quicker. As long as she has yoghurt cheese and milk in her foods they told me it was fine. I find it a complete godsend with no bottles to be washed..... hope that helps

She's too young. She should be drinking formula or breastmilk until she is 12 mos old. She should NOT have regular milk yet. What does your baby eat? Baby food only? She needs liquid--you can dehydrate and potentially kill your baby without liquids. Keep her on the bottle until she's a year old.
