Your "real" problerm isn't the fuse box. The problem is you bought a Kia, buy a Ford next time! Cars are one of those things that you get what you pay for. Kia's don't cost that much.

Well you should go o another dealer and say that you noticed it was melting. Don't tell them the whole story. Also who gave you the boost. If it was from a company like CAA I would be on the phone with them. Also if you do have to end p paying for it. Go to a local garage not a dealer. You will pay less and get the same good quality work for cheaper. They usually have cheaper hourly rates.

The battery pack boost was probably hooked up wrong and melted everything.

you can buy any replacement fusebox panels at any autoparts store.I bought one for a 78 chevy 1/2 ton when i got my license.the boost could have caused the problem if there was a short somewhere.

The only way that could have happened is if someone hooked the booster lead up backwards. You can't expect the company to pay for people's mistakes.

Since it was boosted you really don't have any recourse other than paying the $500. Lucky it wasn't more to get it fixed.

Do you think someone hooked up the cables backward?Jumping it with a booster won't do that. This may be the beginning of a sad story.
