Drafting is creating drawings of objects, so it would be drawing models of items you might use in interior design.
Interior design is designing interiors of buildings with decorations and furniture so they look aesthetically pleasing.

Drafting is creating drawings, usually for architectural work. Interior Design is basically just decorating the interior of a building.

Drafting you are designing what can be used in the space allowed - the primary fixtures (ie; cabinets, countertops, appliances, walls, doors, windows), stuff that isn't moved easily.
Interior design is finding and applying the appropriate finishes and items to fill the space (ie; paint colors, furniture, other decor), or things that can be changed easily.
