Water is the universal solvent; much of the cellular communication in our bodies is due to the movement of charged ions through aqueous solutions. No water, no communication. Also, many things are broken down by the addition of water - it's called hydrolysis.

Huh? Isn't the body about 2/3s water or something like that? Every chemical reaction in the body, as well as the circulatory system to move the chemicals, is all dependent upon water as the media. The only parts that are not water are the sacks and bones to contain the water.

water regulates the body temperature,it helps in transportation of nutrients,waste,hormones etc in our body;it helps in digestion too.

Well we're mostly water (well over 90%) so I guess it's important.
