I'm not sure what your 3rd and 4th lines say, but I'm gonna go ahead and asolve this and maybe that'll help
distribute to get
7x-21 > 5x - 14
add 21 to both sides
7x > 5x + 7
subtract 5x
2x > 7
divide by two
x > 7/2 or 3.5

I don't know what went wrong on line 3 of the working, but:
7x - 21 > 5x - 14
7x - 5x > 21 - 14
(7 - 5)x > 7
2x > 7
x > 7/2

7(x - 3) > 5x - 14
7x - 21 > 5x - 14
7x - 5x > -14 + 21
2x > 7
x > 7/2
Solution: {x belongs to R| x > 7/2}

7(x - 3) > 5x -14
7x - 21 > 5x - 14
7x - 5x > 21 - 14
2x > 7
x > 7/2
x > 3.5
That's the solution

Hmm.. I don't know how you got +21 > -21 ?!?!? Is it necessary?
Here's what I will do:
7x - 21 > 5x - 14
=> 7x - 5x > 21 - 14
=> 2x > 7
=> x > 7/2
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

7(x - 3) > 5x - 14
7x - 21 > 5x - 14
7x - 21 - 5x = 5x - 14 - 5x
2x - 21 = - 14
2x - 21 + 21 = - 14 + 21
2x = 7
2x / 2 = 7 / 2
x = 7 / 2
x = 3 1/2
x - 3.5
- - - - - - - - - -s-
