I just answered this question for you a few days ago. Why are you asking it again? You cannot drain it yourself, you will get an infection for one thing.
It is a little uncomfortable. First they clean your knee with alcohol and disinfect it with betadine. You will get an injection of lidocaine or marcaine to numb your knee first and that pinches a little. It is similar to getting novacaine for a dental procedure. Then a syringe will be inserted and fluid drained out of the knee. By this point your knee is numb so it doesn't feel too bad, just a bit uncomfortable. After you will have some gauze put on and get wrapped up in an ace bandage. You probably won't need crutches, but if you are in too much pain then ask for some. You will probably feel relief and be in less pain once the fluid is out and your knee is numb. You may be put on antibiotics to prevent infection. I have had this done a handful of times. It's not so bad. You will be fine.

So you don't want to go to the doctor because your afraid of what might happen, but you'll do it to yourself. Hmmmmm the doc knows how and you don't and your afraid of the doc. Makes sense to me. They will use a needle, insert it into the fluid and suck it out. They should use a numbing agent in the needle. As the insert it they inject the numbing agent. Done right it shouldn't be too bad. Much better that what you could do yourself.

Just not a sensible idea. The fluid is either blood from an injury, or an effusion, which is a watery collection secondary to inflammation. Both will resolve by themselves, unless you have an ongoing medical condition. You will almost certainly introduce infection if you try and relieve it yourself. See a physician, either your GP or in the ER.

I don't think this is a do-it-yourself procedure, and I don't recommend it. You could do a botched-up job, or subject yourself to an infection, and then be in worse shape.
I don't know how painful it is, but with most painful procedures, you are given an anesthetic, either general or topical, so don't worry about the pain. Let your doctor take care of it. That's why he or she has studied for so many years. Good luck!

Axe.
Seriously. Bad idea. Use heat to reduce it, but do not even consider using a sharp object to drain. YOu can do severe damage.

are you ready to go have corrective surgery? you will only make it worse if you try to do it yourself. go to your dr and let them do it the right way. never attempt any kind of surgical things yourself. you are opening yourself up to infection and possible injuries that could have been prevented. please dont even try it
