I was contacted by a man online that said he would pay me $500-$1000 a week being a check writer for him in his business. Has anyone ever heard of this? is it a scam? Said he will send me a check writer and everything I need, he will send me emails of who the check is to and the amount and I just need to ship them out. Sounds to good to be true. anyone help?

Its a scam, and can potentially lead to mail fraud charges on your part.

Think about it. He's going to send you the checks, and the check writer. That means that everything is automated. He's also going to send you the list of names/addresses/amounts that the checks get written for.

If its that easy for him to get the information and parts to you, why doesnt he do it himself?

If this is a worst case scenario, it could be that the checks have been stolen, or that the account for them simply doesnt exist. In that case you have sent out effectively counterfit checks through the mail. Mail fraud.

Unless you know the person personally, dont do it.

This is not a job, you are being used to launder money for criminals Your first mistake was giving your home address since these criminals now know where you live. The best thing you can do is refuse delivery. They will send the check through UPS or Fedex. Do not sign for it and tell the driver to return to sender. If you live with anyone else, tell them to also refuse delivery. Once you sign for it the scammers know your home address There is NO company in the world that hires random people to do data entry for home, especially for a financial company where records are confidential and cannot be removed from a corporate office. Write back to say that you are sorry you cannot work for them as you just got another job offer for the company you've been hoping to work for and not to send the check. Say that if they already sent it you will just refuse delivery and have it returned to sender Even legitimate work from home jobs still interview you in person at their office, issue you tax forms, etc before they ask you to start working

Hi if you are looking to work from home let me start off by saying be careful there are a lot of scams out there. I was scammed about a dozen times and like all of you out there I was looking for a way to make an income from home. As a mother of two I wanted to help out my husband to pay some bills. I never gave up and kept on trying until I found the site that I was looking for http://www.cashsurveysonly.com . They are a company which provides links to cash paying survey companies that are free to join. I tried many survey companies out there that charged high prices for their list of cash surveys. And once I joined I got a list of duplicate links, outdated links and other sites that are selling a list and not even five companies on the list paid cash for their surveys. This company on the other hand has only cash surveys and no other companies listed on the site. There is a sign up fee but let me tell you that from my experience this company is legit and well worth it.

Sounds great, as long as he supplies the checks and the account and you just supply labor. If it's anything else, it's a scam.

If it seems too good to be true, I am sure it is. $500-$1000/wk? Yea, right. I've got some swamp land for sale, after you make your first million, give me a call. I won't be holding my breath.
